I'm currently in my internship year. I haven't been on this forum in a long time and realize that information on here may be out of date.

Ask me anything about the program, life in Shanghai, etc. I'll wait till there are a bunch of questions, compile them into a list, and answer them point by point. I'll try my best to get other current students to answer some questions as well.

Just wondering whether including those in my application would help increase my chances? And would you also have an idea of what they look for in the applicants apart from marks?
    Cheers
    Hey,
I am not too sure what you mean by having offers from two top universities? Have you got admission already to study medicine in New South Wales? If that is the case, why then apply to Fudan for MBBS? Now to your question, even if what an assuming is right, it would not matter in your application, probably they might ask you as to why you are rejecting those two for Fudan. Then again, am not in Fudan neither have I had an interview with them before so I cannot really say if they look for anything else apart from marks. However, I can tell for a fact that about 99% of chinese medical universities are just interested in the marks, not the work experience you have or other qualities you have. I might be wrong but that is my view from all the years I have been here.
    Good luck in your application.

Sorry I just meant non medicine degrees like Commerce and Actuarial. They just happened to be offered but I was interested in Medicine only. Would you have an idea of how focused they are purely on Highschool Graduate marks or do they also take into considerations other mathematics competitions or things like that?

    thanks for replying!

    Hey,
OK, so my previous answer still stands. Now from Zhejiang University, and this is my view anyway:
    1. It's a first come first basis.
    2. Which nationality do you belong to? Folks from India and Thailand are given the most seats. Someone did tell me the university has got quota for the number of students it takes from every country, probably might depend on the relation China has with that country. But I can tell you that between an Indian and someone coming from Aussie or UK, they are likely to take the Indian.
    3. Solely on your high school scores and age (sometimes). My partner applied to Zhejiang university with me, her high school results were not too good but she had an upper second class honours degree from a UK university. She was rejected, no reasons given. Last year it was a registered nurse, he even had a good high school results yet he was rejected. Again, no reasons given. And that is why what am putting across are speculative.

I will just advise you to do your best in the applications and interviews and possibly do not put all your eggs in one basket. There are a couple of other good universities in China and other countries with the same tuition fees or cheaper.

    All the best.

    Hello,

Are there opportunities to do research lab work while studying in Fudan MBBS ? Is it possible for the students to join a research team or publish a research paper?

    Thank you in advance.

    hey there,
I applied last year for Fudan MBBS and received an offer however I had to defer it as my grandmother passed away a day after. My family and I went into a grieving period and when we were past that stage I already made the decision to not go. I've reapplied this year but I'm unsure if they accept returning applications. Is the application purely based on the admission materials and interview or do they take into account some of the other "human" factors.

    Thanks,
