I'm starting my IM rotation @ Kingsbrook in July, can anyone one who has completed the IM rotation suggest a good book for it. I've looked around and there are lot of mixed opinions but most ppl suggest the First Aid for Medicine.

I'm starting IM and looking for books too. I saw the First Aid for IM but there's also a First Aid for Wards...I was wondering if anyone can weigh in on those books. Is the FA for Wards just a compressed version of all the other First Aids for clerkships??? What about Crush the Step has anyone used that? I know we need FA for Step 2 CK, but at what point should we get First Aid for Step 2 CS?

FA CK is junk. Don't buy it. FA CS is excellent. The cases in CS are basically taken right out of the book. You'll want to study this book for about one week before your CS exam

I completely agree with Bmoregirl on Step Up to Medicine and Conrad Fischer's Master the Boards. Also, the questions from the MKSAP 4 are excellent.

Hey guys, thanks for the advice! Just curious, when I look on Amazon there's a Step up to Medicine and a Step up to Medicine for Step 2 specifically...which one should I get? Thank you!!
