Cells culture is an important field of cell biology for the study of cell physiology, life cycle and apoptosis (in cancer research for example). Cell culture techniques are also used for protein expression in the biotechnology domain, in gene therapy studies, in molecular biology, and for tissue engineering.
Flow cytometry is a technique for counting and examining microscopic particles, such as cells and chromosomes, by suspending them in a stream of fluid and passing them through an electronic detection apparatus.
