    Transferring to Clinicals?

Is it possible to transfer to MUS after having completed Basic Sciences at another school? I tried calling HMI at the number on their site but shockingly the number is not working. lol

I didn't take step 1 yet so would like to transfer and be eligible for the step and move on 3rd year...is this possible at MUS?

    Thanks.

The answer is NO. You're after all getting a degree from poland and you need to have lived there at least one semester. The reason for this is that it does not matter that you've taken all the courses to sit for the USMLE. What matters is that you need to have taken all their courses. The program is a little bit different from Caribbean schools. Furthermore HMI really has no say when it comes to basic sciences. That is all up to the school and even then it is up to the individual professors who will sign for your classes. My suggestion is you talk to HMI and they will help you see if they can convince the Deans office at the school for you to take all the courses that you're missing ( and you are guaranteed to be missing some courses, just take my word for it) and take them in one semester. They'll probably be environmental health and first aid and Polish (yes you need 3 semesters of it...which you could ask to take in one semester). If you ask properly they will help you. If you go there demanding stuff, chancing are they won't. Best of luck.

    Clinicals

I am HMI student, and couple students transfer in my class from Caribbean school, and they were pretty happy after the transfer, obviously no school will give you full credits of courses there will always be some courses you will not get credit for and you would have to retake them. You have to understand every school protocol is different and classes that are offered in carribean it is little bit different from courses offered in European school. But European graduates can practice anywhere in Europe and rest of the world Vs Caribbean graduates who can only practice in US or carribean , plus the big advantage is Medical university of silesia is an actual UNIVERSITY and Non-Profit organization vs medical schools in Caribbean which are profit organizations. So its good to keep all those pros and cons in mind when transferring schools.
