    Jamaica Housing

    Hello all.

I am doing my clinical rotations here in May Pen, Jamaica and I wanted to inform all incoming students about the housing at Mr. Aldo Brown and Mrs. Sharon Browns house on Glenmuir road. PLEASE, DONT COME HERE.

These are horrible people who are after the money and always crying about the money and how much they spend on us at the house. They overcharge students alot and don't provide the service. There is always daily water problem at the house and they refuse to answer calls when someone calls for a problem. Students have woken up in the morning with no water or evening with no water or come home and there is no water. The maid and gardner abuses water but they blame the students. If gas runs out they take long time to replace it meanwhile noone can cook and have nothing to eat. The internet is very slow and again they blame the students. They say they have the highest speed internet working at the house but it's the slowest one which is outdated. They make fools out of students. They say drinking water is safe but it is very unsafe. Don't come here. There are other accomodations available. They never keep their word. They charge every student different price. Some student pay for one room which other students at other places pay for an entire town home in gated community. Very rude, very bad people.

If you want to come, ask for another accomodation. Besides, hospital is very good and teaching good too.

Any truthful student who stayed at our accommodation at Glenmuir road would NOT post this very Personal, MALICIOUS and FALSE report. It begs the question why didn’t the writer of the post leave the apartment and find a “better” place to stay if they were having all the alleged problems? Answer: Because it is FALSE.
If someone genuinely felt they did not have a positive experience I am truly sorry and would have liked for a face to face conversation about it as we have been very open and welcoming to all who have stayed at this accommodation, often times going far beyond a landlord obligations.
We have had repeat students and student’s parents who visited and stayed at the dwelling. There are constant requests for our accommodation from students who were recommended by other students who stayed there. The reason students frequently request to stay at our accommodation as a preferred dwelling and the reasons their relatives have endorsed our property include the following feedback:
    1. Security – The dwelling is wired with electronic alarm system connected to a very responsive
Security company and this is a big positive for the safety of students and allows
them to come and go at late hours in a safe environment.

    2. Competitive All-inclusive rate – Our price includes fully furnished dwelling, air conditioning,
all utilities electricity, gas, internet, weekly helper services.

    3. Responsiveness – One of our strengths often expressed by student tenants is how responsive
we are to calls regardless how late at nights and how we diligently address
any issues no matter how simple or difficult.

There are inherent issues in a developing country such as Jamaica where the national water supply is not ideal. Supply in the pipe is out of our control so we have installed water tanks that are filled by the National Water Commission and we make this known to students. We check the water levels in the tanks on a daily basis to ensure water is available and to minimize any disruption to students.

As always, we endeavour to provide the highest level service to accommodate students who desire to pursue clinical studies in May Pen, Jamaica.

Interesting..Whatever conflicts if any, should be resolved then.
Miscommunication/lack of communication about concerns usually lead to problems.

If there are problems, then they've got to be solved... If non, then Cheers to a glass of water!

    ALRIGHT!
I have been living at the same house for over a year now and NOTE I have not had any problems this person has been talking about.
They are the best landlord I have ever come across in until today. The landlord is always a call away if you need anything. we have water, electricity,tv a full furnished house and 24 hour internet. The house is 5 times bigger and is just 5 minutes away from the hospital. The other houses are smaller and you have to change two transports to reach to the hospital. Even a second grader would know which is the better option. We have a cleaning lady coming to our house every week who cleans the entire house. You won't find this any where else in entire Jamaica. The gas never runs out and even if it does, the landlord makes sure to change it right away.
We have the best security system installed by the landlord and the security guards show up right away irrespective of the time. I have been having a peaceful stay and will continue to have the same. They are the best people you can find , receptive and easy to communicate.People should get a life and stop wasting other people's time by posting such idiotic and baseless reviews.
